An autograph session was supposed to be done at Browns training camp, and the team called quarterback Baker Mayfield off the field.
Mayfield wasn’t going anywhere, however.
Although he was allowed to leave, Mayfield stuck around to snap selfies and sign autographs for every single soldier in attendance, as shown in a video posted by Cleveland.com’s Hayden Grove. The Browns were hosting members of the United States military for training camp to show support for the troops.
One soldier noted that he was getting the autograph for his wife, who is a big fan of the second-year signal caller.
“She’s a huge, huge fan,” he said, pointing out that his wife loved Mayfield’s new mustached look.
Mayfield has often been criticized for some of his off-the-field actions, but this is a good look for the new face of the franchise, who is trying to establish him as the leader of the suddenly exciting Browns.
