Bill Belichick is a sight for sore eyes after his squad’s Week 2 loss to the Seahawks.
A photo from the Patriots press conference on Wednesday is circulating around social media and has many commenting on Belichick’s disheveled appearance.
The stern head coach donned his patented cutoff sleeve sweatshirt while fielding questions, but the sweatshirt — which looked many years old — was stretched, faded and had multiple holes all around the neckline.
“I will always love that the GOAT head coach looks like he was raised by wolves,” @SportsGuyAaron commented on Twitter.
“Someone participated in tequila Tuesday,” @Cberry612 wrote.
The press conference comes just one day after quarterback Cam Newton said he would be able to “dress” Belichick if he hits his incentives this week.
“If I hit certain incentives [in my contract], I would be able to dress all of my coaches, including Bill Belichick,” the 31-year-old 2015 NFL MVP said.
Newton signed with the Patriots in July after his release from the Panthers this offseason. His incentive-laden contract carries a $1.05 million base salary for one year with $6.45 million in bonuses.

Per Forbes, Belichick is the highest-paid coach in American sports with an annual salary of $12 million. He also serves as the team’s de facto general manager and has won six Super Bowls since assuming his post as head coach of the Patriots in 2000.
Newton and the Patriots will face the Raiders in Foxboro on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
