Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston is accusing 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick of using the N-word during the meeting between the teams during Week 2.

Kaepernick admits he said something to Houston after throwing an interception in the San Francisco loss, but the dynamic quarterback is denying the claim he said anything “racially derogatory.” Kaepernick was fined $11,025 and penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Houston, who potentially angered Kaepernick by saying “nice pass” after the interception, initially denied hearing the slur, but after Monday night’s win over the Jets, confirmed a Fox Sports report stating what Kaepernick had said.

“He was just saying inappropriate language,” Houston told the Chicago Tribune.

Houston said he wasn’t insulted, saying it’s more “a cultural thing.”
