The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports, “The agent for Bears quarterback Jay Cutler denied a report in the Chicago Sun-Times that last week Cutler didn’t want to play for Browns coach Eric Mangini.”

The agent, Bus Cook, is also Brett Favre’s agent, so it was speculated that Favre’s feelings about Mangini turned off Cutler toward him. But Mangini and Favre still seem friendly, with Mangini hinting he’d welcome Favre to Browns camp as a special instructor.

“Brett has never expressed to me that he doesn’t like Eric Mangini,” Cook told the Cleveland paper. “In fact, they’ve been texting back and forth recently.”
