Joan Tisch, one of the Giants matriarchs, passed away at the age of 90 on Thursday after a brief illness.

Joan was the wife of Preston Robert “Bob” Tisch, who bought 50 percent of the club in 1991. Joan’s son, Steve, is the the public face of Giants ownership, along with John Mara.

“Joan Tisch was a great lady who led an extraordinary life that touched so many people,” Mara said in a statement. “She was an outstanding role model for her wonderful family and for all of us who knew her. We will miss her dearly.”

Joan, a celebrated philanthropist, will be honored by the team with a moment of silence before the Giants’ game against the Rams at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
