Center Shaun O’Hara will miss his second consecutive game Sunday with a right mid-foot sprain suffered Oct. 25 in Dallas and it doesn’t sound as if he’ll be ready to return next week, either.

“Initially I was told it could be anywhere from 2-8 weeks,’’ O’Hara revealed today. “These injuries are different for everybody, different for each position. That’s the frustrating thing. I’m trying to be positive. I know that I will be back out there; I just don’t know when.’’

It hasn’t been easy to sit back and watch.

“Every week feels like a month these days,’’ said O’Hara, who missed three straight games earlier this season with bursitis in his left ankle and Achilles.

O’Hara said there is progress but it is slow.

“It definitely feels better this week than it did last week,’’ he said. “I’m hoping to continue on that pace. If we do I think I’ll be much happier.’’

When O’Hara was injured earlier in the season, Adam Koets started at center. Last week, the Giants opted to go with Rich Seubert at center. That’s the way it will be on Sunday. Koets is out for the season with a torn ACL.

O’Hara did not make the trip last week to Seattle but he is planning on being at New Meadowlands Stadium on Sunday.

“I plan on being there as much as possible,’’ he said. “They told me not to stand if possible but I don’t think I’ll be able to be anywhere else but down there on the sideline, at least try to feel like I’m still part of the group.’’
