Giants report card
OFFENSE
Interception in the end zone thrown by Eli Manning (mis-communication with Hakeem Nicks?) turned into 101-yard TD return was brutal. Manning threw for 373 yards in comeback mode, but two interceptions were deadly. Makeshift offensive line often struggled, with LG Kevin Boothe getting whistled for a key holding penalty. D
DEFENSE
The Cowboys piled up the big plays. You have to be plenty bad to let Jon Kitna (13-for-22 for 327 yards) play this brilliantly. He was largely untouched by a passive pass rush. Felix Jones scored on 71-yard screen and Dez Bryant ran through the Giants all game. Rough outing for CB Terrell Thomas. F
SPECIAL TEAMS
Matt Dodge had a couple of bad shank punts that wobbled out of bounds and then hit one too long for a touchback. Will Blackmon was solid in returns and coverage on Bryant was decent. B
COACHING
What the heck happened to Perry Fewell’s defense? It gave up a ton of big plays and never seemed in sync all game. Tom Coughlin knew the coaching change with the Cowboys would inspire them, but clearly his team didn’t get the message. F
