A day off for the Rays and Dodgers. Looking once again to the NFL for Thursday action. The Giants picked up their first win of the season last week against the Redsk … uh, Washington Football Team. Suddenly, experts have added them to the conversation.

The one that suggests they will emerge in the NFC Least. The weakest division in the NFL is a collective 5-18-1, but Thursday the Giants visit Philly. One of these terrible teams should win (though a tie with a missed field goal would be a fitting ending). Daniel Jones, with Saquon Barkley out, has become the Giants’ leading rusher (no, not good) and has a TD-to-interception ratio of 3-to-6. Philly’s Carson Wentz has nine picks in six games and has been sacked a league-leading 25 times. Neither team plays the Jets this year, so this is huge. Flying with the Iggles (-4.5) for 10 units.

Switched dugouts for game 2 and it paid off. Rays built a 5-0 lead, then held on to win 6-4. Brandon Lowe homered in the opening frame, then again in the fifth. Blake Snell pitched well, but was removed after 4 ²/₃ after Chris Taylor’s two run blast closed the gap. Bet L.A. to win the series, but doubling down on the ’dogs reduced our debt to -613 silvestris.
