These fireworks were unwanted.
Gunshots interrupted former Giant Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie’s pool party in Bradenton, Fla., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Police responded to the hotel where the party was being held. The event, the “DRC Celebrity Pool Party,” was advertised on social media. Celebrity attendance was promised and was put on by 2LIT Concierge and Event Planning, the sheriff’s office said.
Police said they didn’t find any victims in the crowd, though a person suffering from a gunshot wound went to a local hospital Sunday and was treated for minor injuries. The victim did not offer any details and was not cooperating, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
Rodgers-Cromartie, who is a Bradenton native, is a free agent after being released by the Giants on March 11.
