In a schedule quirk, the Patriots have played just one divisional game so far — against the Jets. They face the Dolphins and Bills twice each over the next five weeks. That would be the same Bills (5-5) and Dolphins (4-6) the Jets are competing with for a wild-card spot.

If the Patriots take care of business against those two teams, it will greatly increase the Jets’ chances of making the playoffs.

So, Jets fans get your hooded sweatshirts on, put on your TB12 pajamas and root for the Evil Empire for a bit. Don’t worry, life can return to normal Dec. 31 when the Jets travel to Foxborough.
