It’s hard to find contributors this late in the NFL Draft, particularly after the fifth round. But Joe Douglas may have someone, albeit not at a sexy position, in the sixth.
With the 191st overall pick on Saturday, he took a punter, Texas A&M’s Braden Mann.
Mann was yet another team captain – a common theme in this draft for Douglas – and set an NCAA record for the highest punting average in a game, with 60.8 yards against Alabama. He also had 14 punts of at least 60 yards in 2018, another NCAA record. He was a unanimous All-American in 2018 and was an All-SEC first-team selection each of the past two years.
This pick would suggest Lachlan Edwards won’t be brought back.
