It appears to be the worst-case scenario for Joe Burrow.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was carted off Sunday with a left knee injury in the third quarter against Washington. Burrow was injured while being hit right after making a throw downfield. He was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game. Ryan Finley replaced Burrow at quarterback.

Burrow seemed to reveal that his injury is season-ending.

“Thanks for all the love. Can’t get rid of me that easy. See ya next year,” Burrow wrote on Twitter.

Head coach Zac Taylor said after the Bengals’ 20-9 loss that he had no “final update” on Burrow’s condition.
