Leonard Williams is happy to be staying in the Big Apple.
The Jets traded the defensive tackle to the rival Giants for a 2020 third-round draft pick and 2021 conditional fifth-round pick on Monday.
“Thank you @nygiants for the opportunity to continue to play in NY,” the former first-round pick wrote Monday on Instagram over a photo announcing the trade.
Williams also posted a farewell message to the Jets and their fans on Instagram.
“I wanted to take the time to thank the whole @nyjets organization for drafting me and first giving me the opportunity into the NFL!” Williams wrote. “It’s been a pleasure playing here over the last few years through all the ups and downs and will never forget the memories and experiences Shared with my teammates and coaches!
“Now moving onto the next chapter of my life I want to thank the @nygiants for giving me the opportunity to continue my professional career in the big apple.”
Williams played four plus seasons with the Jets after being drafted No. 6 overall in 2015.
