“I tip on my service,” McCoy told reporters last week, in defense of his actions. “There’s a difference between good service and bad service and just having a bad day. There’s a big difference between just being rude and disrespectful. That’s how that went.”
The restaurant, PYT, didn’t take too kindly to McCoy’s small tip, posting a photo of the receipt on Facebook.
Calling the receipt to attention caught the eye of Charlie Sheen, who offered $1,000 to one of the restaurant’s owners, Tommy Up.
The receipt has made its way to eBay, where, as of late Monday afternoon, it was selling for more than $90,000 — or over 400,000 times the value of the tip.
