I assumed the most excited guy about the Giants’ draft pick of Virginia Tech running back David Wilson on Thursday night would be, strangely enough, David Wright. Why? Wright’s probably the only person I know who’s both a Virginia Tech fan AND a Giants fan. So after the selection, I emailed Wright to find out his reaction. He wrote back immediately:

“Pumped. Great pick.”

And his scouting report on Wilson?

“Great athlete. Very quick. Low center of gravity. Can run inside and fast enough to turn a corner. Beast.”
