A new video of Rice Rice’s brutal attack on then-fiancée Janay Rice shows that the two were cursing loudly at each other and that she spat in his face moments before he threw a crushing, left-handed blow, according to the Associated Press.

The footage is much cleaner than the grainy but disturbing video that TMZ posted, and it includes audio, the AP said.

The couple exchanged obscenities inside the Revel hotel elevator, leading up to the spit and career-derailing punch.

Janay was lifted off her feet before she hit the elevator railing and floor. Rice then dragged her outside.

They were met by staff from the Atlantic City hotel, according to the AP’s review of the new footage.

One of the workers could be heard saying: “She’s drunk, right?” And then, “No cops.”

Rice didn’t appear to respond.

AP reported that the video was shown to the wire service Monday night by an unidentified law enforcement source.
