The Chargers center announced his retirement at a Tuesday press conference. But he scarcely resembled an NFL lineman. A place-kicker was more like it.
The 11th-year pro was listed at 305 pounds, and the San Diego Union-Tribune said he was down to 293 pounds in September when the season started.
After he suffered a season-ending (ultimately career-ending) neck injury in Week 1, he began focusing on his health, eating smart and working out.
He now weighs a svelte 208 pounds.
