The TV audience for NFL games maintained an average of 14.9 million viewers through last week — down 5.7 percent from last season through Week 10.
None of the NFL six national telecasts in Week 10 drew more viewers than the comparable games last year, according to data compiled by Sports Media Watch.
Last season at this time, TV audiences started an upswing following the conclusion of the attention-grabbing run-up to the presidential election.
Last week’s total NFL viewership of 85.9 million came in 11.4 percent lower than the aggregate for Week 10 of 2016.
ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” is this year’s bright spot, averaging 10.9 million viewers versus 10.7 million viewers last year.
