A bloodied Eli Manning might not play Saturday night, but Ben Roethlisberger definitely will.

The Steelers quarterback, whose preseason regimen has been in flux because of his impending six-game NFL suspension, will get snaps when Pittsburgh visits New Meadowlands Stadium to take on the Giants, coach Mike Tomlin confirmed yesterday.

“He’s gonna play,” Tomlin said tersely after practice, without specifying when or how much.

Roethlisberger was not used in the Steelers’ exhibition opener last weekend at home against the Lions because Tomlin purportedly wanted to give more snaps to replacement candidates Byron Leftwich and Dennis Dixon.
