Simple, direct, effective.

Brian Daboll told reporters about his brief message to Tommy DeVito before the quarterback led the game-winning drive in the Giants’ dramatic 24-22 victory over the Packers on Monday night.

“You don’t have to worry about that. He keeps his composure,” Daboll said. “Here’s a couple plays you like, go out there and rip that son of a bitch. Pretty simple.”

DeVito did just that.

The 25-year-old completed four straight passes to open the drive, including a dart to Wan’Dale Robinson for 32 yards that brought the Giants to the Packers’ 22-yard line.

After three running plays to Saquon Barkley, Randy Bullock booted home the 37-yard field goal for the victory as time expired.

ESPN cameras immediately showed DeVito and Daboll embracing after the kick sailed through the uprights.

DeVito has now improbably led the Giants to three straight wins to improve the team to 5-8 and one game out of the final NFC wild-card spot.

“It’s his job. Third game of over a 100 quarterback rating,” Daboll said. “He made good decisions, took care of the ball, used him in the run game. Just keep developing him. He’s improving.

“Still got stuff to work on, but like I said two or three times last week, I think he’s a young player that’s doing the right things and making the most of his opportunity. He earned the right to play today, and he earned the right to play the next week. The kid’s done a good job.”

The Giants opted to stick with DeVito instead of handing the reins over to Tyrod Taylor after the veteran returned from IR last week following a rib injury.

DeVito completed 17 of 21 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown strike to Isaiah Hodgins that put the Giants up 21-13.

The former Syracuse star did not get sacked or throw an interception.

“Just go win the football game,” DeVito said. “Go execute a drive that we practice every day before practice, which is a two-minute drive. We do it every day, different situations. With all the practice, we have that exact situation or something very similar to it, so just go out, execute the offense and go win the game.”
