The Bucs could be getting tired of bidding against themselves.

According to a Tampa Bay Times report, the team could pass on a deal for Darrelle Revis if the Jets continue to insist on landing three draft picks for the cornerback. The Bucs believe they are the only team with the cap space and need at the position to be interested in Revis. No other team has been linked to Revis, who is rehabbing from a torn ACL, except them for months.

In the proposed deal the Jets would receive the Bucs’ No. 13 pick in this year’s draft and a third- and fifth-rounder in 2013 or 2014.

This report could be seen as a response to an ESPN one on Monday that said the Jets were pressing the pause button on Revis talks. In his press conference on Wednesday, Jets GM John Idzik danced around all the Revis questions and was non-committal on the star’s future.

It’s been reported that the Bucs want several days to examine Revis’ knee to ensure he would be ready for start of the season. An MRI exam done by doctors Monday showed that Revis was ahead of schedule, according to sources.
