Welcome to the Las Vegas Giants up-front.
It could be that two of the five starters along the offensive line this season started every game in 2023 for the Raiders. Jermaine Eluemunor was signed in March and will likely open the season as the right tackle.
Greg Van Roten, who manned right guard for the Raiders, was signed Tuesday and he could land at right guard for the Giants.
Greg Van Roten is signing with the Giants. AP“Glad we added him, throw him in the mix,’’ coach Brian Daboll said. “Tough, physical, good leadership. So, put him out there and let him get reps.’’
Van Roten, 34, wore jersey No. 74 and observed practice on his first day with his new team.
This is a reunion for Van Roten and Carmen Bricillo, who was the offensive line coach in Las Vegas in 2023 and was hired this season by Daboll as the Giants’ O-line coach — their fifth in the last five years.
Jon Runyan Jr., the Giants’ most costly free-agent addition, has lined up at right guard in training camp, with another veteran addition, Aaron Stinnie, at left guard.
For the first time in this training camp, Runyan on Tuesday took some snaps at left guard. Daboll said moving Runyan to the left side is a possibility.
This is added insurance and further indication that the Giants do not expect Evan Neal to be ready for the season.

Charles Wenzelberg / New York PostNeal, the No. 7-overall pick in the 2022 draft, is coming off ankle surgery and remains on the physically unable to perform list and he might end up there for the start of this season.
He will have to get on the field and earn his way back to the starting right tackle job after two lackluster seasons.
Van Roten is coming off a strong season, graded out by Pro Football Focus with the ninth-best pass blocking efficiency in the league among guards.
He was undrafted in 2012 out of Penn and has played for the Packers, Panthers, Jets, Bills and Raiders, starting 71 of his 110 career games — the first 27 starts at left guard, the next 44 starts at right guard.
The Long Island native went to Chaminade High School in Mineola.
Van Roten signed a one-year deal and can earn as much as $3 million if he plays 50 percent of the snaps on offense this season.

Rookie WR Malik Nabers did not participate in the one-on-one routes against defensive backs and his snaps in the team periods were limited. The Giants have a day off Wednesday and this likely was a case of giving Nabers a breather. … TE Lawrence Cager was off to a solid start to camp but he came off the field Monday and has a hamstring injury. … Center John Michael Schmitz missed three games as a rookie with a shoulder issue and that same shoulder has kept him out of practice this week. Daboll said this injury is “a little bit different than what he had.’’ Austin Schlottmann, a 28-year old who has played for the Broncos and Vikings, continued to work as the center with the first-team offense.
