Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie was back on the practice field Thursday after missing Wednesday’s practice with a pulled groin.

Cromartie said he will be able to play Sunday against the Chargers, his former team.

Center Nick Mangold was not in uniform and worked off to the side with trainers during the portion of practice open to the media. Mangold is still dealing with a high right ankle sprain.

Running back LaDainian Tomlinson went through drills after sitting out Wednesday’s practice as coach Rex Ryan tries to get the veteran some rest. Defensive end Ropati Pitoitua participated in individual drills. Pitoitua missed last week’s game with a knee injury.

The Jets re-signed defensive tackle Martin Tevaseu to the practice squad.
