KEY MOMENT
Though the Colts scored 17 unanswered points in the second half, their most important score was the one right before the end of the first half. Down 17-6, Peyton Manning took the Colts 80 yards in four plays and 58 seconds, capped by his 16-yard touchdown score to Austin Collie, cutting the Jets’ lead to 17-13. It was the Colts’ first touchdown, and it gave them plenty of life.
KEY PLAYER
Peyton Manning, the reigning MVP, was sensational after a rough start early. Facing the Jets’ top-ranked defense, Manning dominated. He completed 26-of-39 passes and threw for 377 yards. Manning fired three touchdown passes to three different receivers — Austin Collie, Pierre Garcon and Clark.
