Could free-agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh continue his career in Las Vegas?

The 35-year-old veteran expressed excitement about the possibility of joining the Raiders — and seemingly closed the door on a return to the Bucs during a Monday appearance on ESPN’s “NFL Live.”

“[I’m] excited to really just understand where I can potentially be,” Suh said. “It looks like the Bucs are out of the picture, but excited to look at all the other options.”

Suh spent the last three years with Tampa Bay on one-year deals, and won a Super Bowl with Tom Brady in February 2021 in a win against the Chiefs. He started every game for the Bucs last season and recorded 27 tackles, six sacks and seven tackles for loss.

Suh said “of course” he still wants to continue playing in the NFL, and thinks he has “a lot of great talent left in [his] engine, and people have felt that before.”

“I like it to be honest with you,” a smiling Suh said, adding that he recently “exchanged messages” with Raiders defensive ends Chandler Jones and Maxx Crosby “the other day.”

“It’s an interesting opportunity for sure. We’ll see where it kind of ends up.”

On Tuesday, the five-time Pro Bowler also tweeted that the “Raiders could be fun” as a free-agent destination.

The Raiders made waves this offseason to improve their roster, including the acquisition of Davante Adams in a trade with the Packers in March. The star receiver signed a five-year, $141.25 million contract extension with Las Vegas.

Suh — a former Defensive Rookie of the Year (2010) and three-time first-team All-Pro — previously played for the Lions, Dolphins and Rams after being drafted with the second pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
