The fireworks from Thursday’s 2020 NFL Draft didn’t come from Roger Goodell’s basement, but Odell Beckham Jr.’s Twitter account.
As the first round progressed, the Browns receiver appeared to call out draft night footage rehashing his Giants history, most notably his tango with a kicking net back in 2016.
“I love how many positive things we could be showing during these times and especially during the draft where these young men are at their dream stage. Yet y’all still like to use one moment of me and the kickin net!!! This world is hilarious! That s–ts really sad,” Beckham said in starting off a string of enraged tweets.
“Alllllllll the moment and memories!! Yet that’s what we choose to do and show. Lol a fair representation of how sad s–t really is. How bout don’t use me at alll!”
Beckham, 27, who was selected 12th overall by the Giants in 2014, also noted the draft has “nothin to do wit me.” And Beckham has nothing to do with the Giants, following last year’s trade to the Browns. He added it’s all love, however, when it comes to New York.

Beckham later congratulated the Giants’ selection, Georgia tackle Andrew Thomas, before continuing.
“It’s just a funny world we live in,” he wrote, including a trio of crying laughing-face emojis. “Sad yet funny.”
Beckham, who has been the source of Browns trade rumors this offseason, concluded his statement with a few parting words.
“Can’t do anything but laugh at this point. I know who I am,” he wrote. “Stay tryna disrespect me. Stay tryna down me. Stay wanting me to be something I’m not. Give it up!!”
