If the fire alarm had gone off late at night in the Seahawks hotel, we would be crying conspiracy, branding it as Sprinklergate.
But the sirens sounded after midnight Tuesday at the hotel where the Patriots are staying in advance of Sunday’s Super Bowl in Glendale, Ariz., the latest oddity for the AFC champs, who preparations for the big game have been consumed by accusations of football-deflating.
Has that locker-room attendant been accounted for? Was he smoking in the bathroom?
