That punch you saw? It was taken out of context, Ray Rice says.

When the former Baltimore Ravens star appeals his indefinite suspension from the NFL, he plans to argue the tape of him punching his then-fiancée was edited, ESPN reports.

Rice’s legal team will maintain the video of him decking Janay Palmer Rice is “a cleaned-up, whittled-down and condensed version,” according to the report.

In July, the league suspended Rice for two games — until TMZ revealed the inside-the-elevator footage, which shows Rice belting Palmer. At that point, he was suspended indefinitely.

TMZ responded to the report with a story headlined “dumbest defense ever.”

“As we initially reported, the original raw video was jerky . . . so we removed the reverse frames,” TMZ reported.
