Troubled Redskins safety Montae Nicholson is out of a job.

The young safety was cut by new coach Ron Rivera, four months after Nicholson became part of an investigation into a young woman who overdosed in his Virginia home after a night out.

Nicholson, 24, and a friend reportedly found 21-year-old Julia Crabbe “foaming at the mouth” in his Virginia home after a night out. They took her to a local hospital, where she died.

Nicholson was not arrested.

According to TMZ, the woman died of accidental fentanyl intoxication, a spokesperson for the medical examiner said.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident.

It’s unclear if the incident led to Nicholson getting released. But the former fourth-round pick out of Michigan State has had other off-the-field issues.

Nicholson was arrested in December 2018 after he and his girlfriend allegedly assaulted another couple in a drunken roadside brawl in Virginia; the prosecutor later dropped the charges.

Nicholson has been a quality player for the Redskins, appearing in 35 games over three years, notching three interceptions and 127 tackles.
