As the entire country watches Pennsylvania count votes as a crucial state to decide the 2020 presidential election, solace can be taken in the fact that those counting the votes didn’t make any hunger-induced mistakes.

The Pittsburgh Steelers organization surprised election workers in Allegheny County with a catered dinner Wednesday night, as they sorted through the outstanding votes to determine whether Joe Biden or Donald Trump will win the presidency.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the meal consisted of pies, chicken breasts, pasta, vegetables and dinner rolls. The players didn’t deliver the food themselves, but a worker from Cooked Goose Catering Company showed up to a warehouse on the North Side where the votes were being counted around 7:30 p.m.

“It’s very nice, very appreciated,” Allegheny County spokeswoman Amie Downs told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “We’ve been working very long hours, so for them to have thought of us is very kind.”

Allegheny County election workers then went on to take Thursday off from counting ballots with over 35,000 votes left to tally, with the state blaming a federal court ruling that involved faulty paperwork being sent to voters.
