On Monday morning, TMZ released video footage of Ravens running back Ray Rice striking then-fiancee Janay Palmer in an Atlantic City elevator, knocking her unconscious.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Rice for two games, a penalty that was universally seen as too lenient at the time and looks dumbfounding now.
