Tom Brady thinks he can take on Lamar Jackson in the 40-yard dash — with one tiny caveat.

“Me vs Lamar, 40 Yard Dash on natural grass but he has to wear rollerblades. Who’s buying the PPV?” Brady tweeted on Thursday.

The lighthearted comment from the six-time Super Bowl champion came as Jackson, 22, broke a record previously set by Michael Vick for rushing yards in a season by a quarterback on Thursday night in a 42-21 win over the Jets.

And it comes six weeks after the Ravens handed the Patriots their first loss of the season. Jackson racked up 61 yards on the ground and scored two rushing touchdowns in that 37-20 Ravens win.

Through 14 games this year, Jackson has amassed 1,103 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns and is a front-runner for the MVP award.

The Heisman Trophy winner from Louisville opted not to record an official 40-yard dash time at the NFL combine in 2018 amid calls from scouts that he should try to run wide receiver routes. Louisville’s head coach Bobby Petrino tweeted that the fleet-footed quarterback recorded a 4.34-second unofficial 40 time at the team’s “speed day,” which Jackson claims he ran with turf toe. Brady, 42, leisurely clocked in at 5.28 seconds at the 2000 NFL combine.
