It appears there was more tension on the Chiefs’ sideline Sunday than on the field.

Tight end Travis Kelce was spotted shoving Kansas City offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy during the team’s 19-13 loss to the Colts. After the two were separated, Kelce, who logged four receptions for 70 yards, was later seen hugging it out with Bieniemy.

The Athletic’s Nate Taylor later elaborated on the exchange, posting: “NBC cameras caught a heated discussion between Travis Kelce & offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. It appears that Bieniemy’s message to Kelce was to hold onto the ball. Bieniemy probably used harsher words.”

Despite the internal drama, the Chiefs have other issues to dissect as quarterback Patrick Mahomes “tweaked” his ankle in the game. Coach Andy Reid said he believes “he’s going to be OK.”

The Chiefs face the Texans next Sunday.
