The Giants are maintaining an unwanted tradition on Fridays of coming up with unforeseen injuries that times have affected their game that weekend. Not sure if this is another step in that direction, but when the Giants hit the field for practice Friday, defensive end Justin Tuck and wide receiver Hakeem Nicks were riding stationary bikes off on the side.

That’s firepower on both sides of the ball not working. It is not expected that either player has anything seriously wrong with him, certainly nothing that would affect his status for Monday night’s game against the Cowboys.

Nicks from time to time sits out practice but hasn’t missed any games. Tuck also has missed practice time but shown up and started on Sundays.

Fullback Madison Hedgecock was again riding the bike and wasn’t going to participate much during practice. It looks like he’s still a no-go on Monday night because of a strained hamstring that likely will be given another few weeks of rest with the upcoming bye.
