The Giants may or may not luck out and miss Stefon Diggs on Sunday.

But whether or not the Vikings wide receiver does play at MetLife Stadium, he’ll do so with a lighter wallet.

Diggs skipped practice Wednesday and also missed meetings this week, but so far the only punishment has been a fine, according to NFL Network. The report said it’s not the first time Diggs has missed a meeting this season.

Coach Mike Zimmer was cryptic about Diggs’ status Friday, offering little to no information when asked if he will play against the Giants on Sunday.

Here is the exchange with reporters on Friday, according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.

Will Stefon Diggs play this week?

“I don’t know. We’ll see,” Zimmer said.

How did he look back at practice?

“I have to watch the tape,” Zimmer said.

As for what Diggs’ availability Sunday will be based on?

“We’re going to watch the tape,” Zimmer said.

But would he not play as punishment for skipping practice?

“He’s already been punished,” Zimmer said.

It’s been an eventful week for the Vikings, with speculation swirling about Diggs wanting a trade while fellow receiver Adam Thielen has expressed his frustration with the passing game’s struggles, prompting an apology from quarterback Kirk Cousins. Diggs did little to contain the fire Thursday, when he was asked about the reports of him being unhappy and wanting out.

“There’s truth to all rumors,” Diggs said. “I won’t be speaking on that.”
