Damien Woody is cramming for tomorrow’s game against the Bills. The Jets’ right tackle wasn’t at practice on Wednesday or Thursday for what he said was a private family reason, but yesterday he was back with the team. Woody thinks he’s somewhat caught up on the gameplan, but he admits he’ll work in some last-minute preparation.

“I feel pretty good, but I’ve still got some time before kickoff,” he said. “I’m going to be at it right until kickoff just making sure I have everything down and so the preparation is definitely not over right now.”

Woody, who watched Jets practice online while he was away, declined to reveal what his personal issue was, saying, “I would just keep it private. It’s a family matter I’m going to keep private.”

Safety Eric Smith (head), who didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday, has been ruled out. Smith recently suffered two concussions within the span of three games.

Linebacker David Harris (groin) isn’t likely to play. He’s listed as doubtful, as is tight end Bubba Franks (hip).

Tight end Chris Baker, also dealing with a hip issue, is questionable. Baker practiced on a limited basis yesterday.

Bills DE Aaron Schobel (foot), WR Josh Reed (ankle) and G Brad Butler (knee) are all out. . . . Eric Mangini on Bills running back Marshawn Lynch: “Usually a guy is either a power back or an edge guy, and he shows elements of both those things.” . . . The Bills have passed for only seven touchdowns this season, including one from their punter.
