SportsNet.ca reports that former Rangers forward Sean Avery plans to skate on his own starting within 10 days while continuing to receive counseling.

The Web site says, “Sources say the Stars are now revisiting their options on what to do with the banished forward.”

Avery was banished by the team in early December after serving an NHL suspension for comments he made about players dating his former girlfriends.
