Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner had first practice with the Devils in nearly three weeks on Tuesday.

He suffered no setbacks and is still aiming to return Thursday when the Devils play the Canadiens. It would be his first game since he suffered a herniated disc crashing into the boards on Nov. 10 against the Sabres.

“We’ll see how [Wednesday] feels after taking another step,” Langenbunner told NorthJersey.com. “We still have a couple of days.”

Langenbrunner has also been feeling numbness in his left arm and hand from a pinched nerve.

“I thought he had a good practice and we’ll see how he is [Wednesday] and he’ll have another day of practice [Wednesday],” coach John MacLean said.
