Martin Brodeur traveled with the Devils for their three-game western road trip, NJ.com reports.
Brodeur has been out since he injured his shoulder on Oct. 13 in a win over the Kings. The most-recent timetable for the 39-year-old goaltender would put him back in a game either Thursday in Phoenix or Saturday in Dallas. But coach Pete DeBoer has said that Brodeur will need a few practices before returning to game action. Brodeur did skate on his own Saturday and Sunday in Newark.
Johan Hedberg has started the three games since Brodeur’s injury and the Devils are 1-1-1. He will likely be in net again when New Jersey opens the trip Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
