Islanders forward Michael Grabner was named Rookie of the Month for February, the NHL announced on Wednesday.

Grabner scored 10 goals and had six assists while leading the Islanders to a 8-5-1 month.

During one three-game stretch Feb. 10-13, Grabner scored seven goals in three games in victories over the Penguins, Canadiens and Sabres. Two of the goals were game-winners for Grabner, who the Islanders claimed off waivers from the Panthers this offseason.
