Despite coaching the Devils to the second-best record in the East, Claude Julien was fired today. Not only did Julien enjoy great success in his second season as head coach, but his firing comes on the heels of the Devils winning four of their last five games.

Apparently, in the swamp, second place just isn’t good enough.
