The Devils said yesterday that defenseman Johnny Oduya will be sidelined for the next seven to 10 days with an upper body injury he suffered during Thursday night’s 4-3 win over the Islanders.

Defenseman Colin White remains out with a groin injury, so the Devils will have to recall a defenseman from Lowell (AHL) to take Oduya’s spot.

With salary-cap considerations in mind, the team sent down RW Cam Janssen yesterday to free up a roster spot for a blueliner, though one had not been named as of last night.

The Devils visit Ottawa this afternoon (3 p.m., FSN, WFNY-92.3 FM). . . . The new arena for the Devils going up in downtown Newark will be called the Prudential Center, team owner Jeff Vanderbeek said yesterday.
