Rangers forward Ruslan Fedotenko underwent an appendectomy Wednesday, and will be sidelined for three weeks, the team announced.
Fedotenko has missed the past five games due to a shoulder separation sustained Jan. 19. He has nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points, along with 16 penalty minutes and a plus-eight rating in 48 games this season.
The Rangers got back Ryan Callahan, Brandon Dubinsky and Dan Girardi back from injuries in Tuesday’s 4-3 loss to the Penguins.
