Rangers forward Mike Rupp will be out 4-6 weeks after successful arthroscopic surgery on his knee Wednesday, NorthJersey.com reports.

Rupp has missed the prior six games with what was a meniscus tear.

The website also said defenseman Anton Stralman, who signed with the team Saturday, passed his medical tests and likely will practice with the Rangers on Thursday.

The Rangers play the Senators in Ottawa on Wednesday night.
