If Rick DiPietro’s very loud blazer is any indication, he’s starting to get this TV analyst thing figured out.
The former Islanders goalie delivered a tribute to Craig Sager — or was it an homage to Clyde Frazier? — with a bold, maybe velvet, maybe animal-print wardrobe choice for Sunday night’s Game 6 telecast on MSG Plus.
Either way it was a social media talker, the expected snark mixing with some grudging admiration for his fashion fortitude.
DiPietro, still just 34, is gaining followers as a radio host on ESPN New York while still getting paid handsomely by the Islanders as part of the terms of a 15-year, $67.5 million contract he signed before the 2006 season.
Even in luscious camo, DiPietro still bleeds blue and orange: He admitted he jumped into the arms of a Barclays Center security guard after John Tavares scored the series-winner in double overtime.
