Ready to break up with your basic, boring white sneakers?

Cate Blanchett sure is, at least according to her conversation last week on the Las Culturistas podcast.

“I was told, while I was wearing white sneakers, that if you were white sneakers, it means you’re not getting any. You’re not a fornicator… And I’ve been sending out very bad signals for really quite a long time, and I have three pairs which I wear. I alternate,” the star admitted.

The trio went on to discuss whether they were some type of chastity symbol. And, while some people in the comments section disagreed, we have to admit that white sneakers are a bit plain and platonic, undeniably basic, and for many, they’re just catching dust like a relic in the back of the closet.
