The 2023 NBA Playoffs are finally upon us, and after a fallow 2021-2022 season, the Knicks have returned to the bracket.
The Knicks clinched out the 5-seed after a respectable season, just one spot above their Brooklyn-based rivals, The Nets, who narrowly avoided this year’s Play-In tournament following the departure of two of the team’s biggest stars. Regardless of where they’re seeded, it’s a big week for New York basketball, and nothing says New York basketball like the Knicks.
Their first challenge? An evenly-matched series against The Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks clinched out Game One, despite a fearsome 38 points from Donovan Mitchell, only to lose in 107-90 blowout on the Cav’s home turf last night in Game Two. It’s an even series heading into Friday’s game at Madison Square Garden, which can only mean one thing: Knicks fans need to represent harder than ever.
