Some people need a warm cup of coffee (or two) to wake up in the morning. Others recommend cold showers. On Thursdays, the only thing we need to get out of bed is the knowledge that another great NFL game is airing on Prime Video that very night.

That’s especially true today, as a rivalry is renewed, and with a division title on the line, as the 9-4 San Fransisco 49ers face off against the 7-6 Seattle Seahawks on the latter’s home turf.

The tensions at Lumen Stadium are going to be high: in addition to the two teams’ storied rivalry, the NFC West title is on the line. And that’s without even mentioning that Jimmy Garappolo is out for the season.

Can the Seahawks fight their way out of a slump (three losses in their last four games) and score a way against San Fransisco, or will the 49ers cement their spot in the playoffs, and clinch a divisional title? There’s only one streaming service that can answer that for you: Amazon Prime Video.

Below, we’ve outlined how to watch, when to tune in, and what you can expect from tonight’s Thursday Night Football matchup.

How to watch Thursday Night Football on Prime Video

The teams may change, but this deal stays the same – Thursday Night Football is streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. If you’d like to watch, you’d better act fast; there’s only three more Thursday night games this season. Tonights, Jaguars at Jets next week, and Cowboys at Titans to round the whole thing out.

Until then, the biggest weeknight event the NFL has to offer is free with a Prime subscription (or a 30-day free trial). Nab one now, and pick up TNF, in addition to Amazon’s massive slate of movies and Original Series, including “The Peripheral,” “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” and “The Boys.”

When does the game start?

You can expect an 8:15 p.m. EST kickoff tonight at Lumen Stadium, but if you’re interested, pre-game coverage begins on Prime Video at 7 p.m. EST.

What can I expect from tonight’s game?

Allow us to set the scene: Jimmy Garappolo had been playing some of the best football of his career for the 49ers, and then: boom, he went out with an ankle injury in a matchup against the Dolphins.

That meant the 49ers were down to their third-string quarterback, Brock Purdy, previously deemed “Mr. Irrelevant”. And what do you do if you’re in Purdy’s position? How about rout Tom Brady’s Buccaneers 35 to 7 in your first full-game debut. Not too shabby.

Now, Purdy, apparently starting for the remainder of the season, will bring his considerable talents to Seattle, where he’ll face off against Geno Smith and the Seahawks, who are running just two games behind the 49ers.

The 49ers ran away with it the last time these teams met, back in September, but that’s ancient history now. Tonight’s game is anyone’s for the taking, and there’s only one way to watch every glorious minute: Amazon Prime Video.
