It’s been over five years since Jay Alvarrez had the internet slipping over a coconut oil scandal.
After an NSFW video featuring the influencer using coconut oil began circulating, TikTok erupted into debate over what should — and shouldn’t — go on (or in) our bodies. Now, Alvarrez has a new recommendation: his beef tallow skincare line.
The brand, Sunkissed by Heaven, seems like a natural next step for the internet personality and filmmaker, who is known for his globe-trotting adventures, frolicking on exotic beaches and leaping out of airplanes.
“I’ve always lived in the sun, and I wanted to create something raw, simple, and to the point — without the chemicals or confusing additives,” Alvarrez shared on the company’s website. “Sunkissed was made to be effortless and effective.”
His line currently includes a 50-SPF sunscreen and a moisturizer, made with ultra-pure, “edible-grade” ingredients including beef tallow, jojoba, beeswax and raw honey. And, the formulas seem to be working: reviewers are saying they actually want to lather these balms on their bodies.
