According to Massaro, rangefinders are the ultimate luxury for the golfer who takes their game seriously. After the tee shot, you are flying blind, and that’s where a range finder comes into play. From anywhere on the course, you will be able to look through the lens and gauge your distance to the pin.

New York Post Review: “This past Christmas, I was gifted the Series 3 Max+ and I absolutely cannot wait to take it for a spin. Blue Tees are known for their high-quality golf accessories, and the Series 3 Max+ seems to have a ton of quality-of-life improvements over its predecessors. One of the main gripes of rangefinders in general lies in their inconsistency to lock onto the pin and provide accurate distances.

New York Post Review: “I will never forget the first time I broke 90 in golf,” said Massaro. “I was in an absolute flow state, and I still keep my first two birdie balls in a box. What brand of balls were they, you ask? Vice. Ever since then, I have always enjoyed the feeling and aesthetic of Vice’s product, from the Pro Balls to the Drive series.

This season, since I will be concentrating more on refining my game, I wanted to start with a no-frills ball that claims to focus on distance and at a great price point at well under $2 per ball. I definitely won’t be sad if I happen to donate a couple of balls to the course.”

Although the name might be off-putting, these golf balls actually get the job done, according to Massaro. If you want to strike up a conversation, say even get a few deals done, this yellow ball may be your key to the kingdom.

When reading this article, you definitely did a double-take at this brand’s name and honestly, I think that is the hook to this company,” said Massaro. “Golf comes with its unique tropes and traditions for sure. Many of them come with a buttoned-up, refined approach, even if that’s not the intent. P*ss M*ssle golf balls, to me at least, just seem like a breath of fresh air and a conversational piece to set up a great day on the course. The entire ball makeup, from the color to the emblem and lineup dashes, complete with Dad Joke-style quips, along with the price per ball (just over $2 each), already has me glad I grabbed this ahead of the season.

I have been playing golf consistently for about four years now and I am no stranger to letting a ball fly way off its intended course. With its very intentional bright yellow color, I shouldn’t have a problem locating my ball and thus saving some cash in the long run.”

New York Post Review: “My grandfather once told me, the number one priority before you start a job, is to make sure you have the right tools,” shared Massaro. “He was obviously referring more to his profession, which was construction.  I have always taken this advice to heart when setting out to complete a task. Golf is a sport that demands a lot of your lower body and especially puts a lot on your feet. It’s important to make sure you have the proper equipment.

New York Post Review: “This upcoming season, after using my adidas golf shoe for 4 years, I was due for a change. I had heard positive things about Allbirds’ first foray into Golf Shoes,” explained Massaro. “So it made sense to give the Golf Dashers a try this season and see how they hold up. Previously, I was a big fan of the brand’s wool runners as an office shoe, so I am excited to see how the brand translates its philosophy to the links.

I like how the shoe feels just trying it on. The comfort of Allbirds is very much present when I wear the shoes. I really like the tight and clean aesthetic that Allbirds has put forth here. The shoes feel like they can be worn on the course, as well as the members’ clubhouse afterward.”

This trending golf shoe for women is one of our favorites! Don’t worry that it doesn’t have any spikes. The motion lugs at the bottom act as traction, so you remain firmly planted, even on moist terrain. The flexible sole will keep feet comfortable as you move from hole to hole. It also doesn’t hurt that the design is pretty and available in several colors.

Callaway has been Talley’s go-to brand since she was 14 years old, and she considers them a great option for players of all levels.

“I am a Callaway girl through and through,” she said. “I think they have something for every stage of golfer and are always coming out with new and improved technology. I wouldn’t play Callaway if I didn’t have full confidence in their product.”

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to golf equipment, and as Talley puts it, you should find “something that fits you personally!” One of the best ways to achieve this, according to her, is to “find someone you trust and go searching” for equipment together.

One of the most common mistakes she finds people make when picking out golf equipment for themselves is looking at the exact products the pros use.

“Often you see [people] just get what the pros get,” Talley said. “However, most amateurs need something more forgiving than the professionals. Don’t be scared to make it easier on yourself!”

Plus, don’t forget the essentials like the best golf sunglasses or gloves, because if you can’t spot your ball because of the sun or grip your equipment, what good will all of this be to you anyway?

This comes down to personal preference. With most golf equipment, it may take testing out a few different brands before determining what works best for you. Talley points out two specific characteristics to keep an eye on when trying one out.

“In many cases, the shaft is most important and the club head needs to be something that you like,” she said. “The shaft needs to fit your age, body type and strength.”
